What datasets or products do you offer?

We offer various datasets for different types of products, including Posed People (static scans), Rigged People, and Animated People (with motion capture data).

What are the details about the variations, diversity and poses included in the datasets?

The specifics depend on the dataset you’re interested in. However, we can always create a custom selection based on your needs, including ethnicity, age, gender, as well as pose and clothing preferences.

Are there any additional services or customizations you offer?

Are sample models or previews available for review to ensure they meet our requirements?

Yes, we offer sample data for all our products. Please contact us with specific sample requirements or if you’d like to test any of the additional features we offer with the datasets.

Are the 3D models synthetic or real?

All of our 3D models are scanned, using photogrammetry technology or motion capture. This means that our 3D models accurately represent real-world individuals, with real clothing and poses. The data we provide includes real-world metadata for each model.

None of our models are synthetically generated by AI. In fact, this makes our datasets ideal for training machine learning models for synthetic 3D human avatar creation.

Technical Details / 3D Models

Do you have PBR textures for the human models, such as roughness or metallic?

Yes, some of our datasets, specifically our latest Gen 2.0 People dataset, are PBR-ready. All other models include Diffuse, Normal, and detailed Alpha maps for skin, clothing and assets.

What are the available file formats of the data? Do you offer GLB and OBJ formats as well?

We offer a wide variety of file formats and can provide the ones that best suit your needs, including: 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, Rhino, SketchUp, Cinema 4D, OBJ, FBX.

Have the clothing items been 3D modeled or included in the 3D models as textures?

All of our 3D models, including clothing, are scanned. This applies to our Rigged People dataset as well. The clothing is highly realistic and is integrated with the rest of the 3D model, rather than being placed as a separate mesh.

Is there comprehensive documentation about how the models were created (automated or by artists), including details about the locators and masks and how they were extracted?

We do not provide extensive documentation about our workflows, as we have found that direct communication is often more effective. We are happy to address specific questions or concerns via video call or email for more precise answers.

We do not list general prices on the website, as the cost depends on several factors such as:

Do you offer partial datasets or can I purchase single models?

We offer partial datasets tailored to your needs. However, purchasing individual models is not typical. For example, our Posed People dataset includes over 3,500 models, and we can curate a subset based on specific criteria, such as diversity characteristics or extra features.

We are a large corporation and want to pass the license on to subsidiaries. Is that possible?

Yes, we can provide a license that covers subsidiaries.

Can we publish body models or synthetic data along with our research?

Yes, in an academic context, we generally allow the publication of such data, as long as third-party commercial or research use of the secondary data is prohibited, and the original 3D source files are not disclosed.
